Spring has arrived (we think) early this year, at least it seems like that everywhere. It’s a wonderful season for babies, flowers and cotton.
Get ready your hooks and cotton yarns, go to a park and enjoy crocheting the most beautiful baby mary janes and headbands for your little ones. Family and friends always like these gifts too!

Baby Mary Janes shown below are crocheted with Eco Cotton yarn.
This is what you’ll need to crochet a set of Baby Mary Janes “Red Rose” and a Flower and Shells Headband:
– Yarn – 100 metres / 110 yards of Capri cotton or Bolero yarn by Katia or any other Sport (fine 2) or DK (light 3) yarn that matches the given gauge.
– Hook – 2.5 mm for sport yarn and 3 mm for DK yarn. Check your gauge.
3 flower buttons (1 for the headband).
2 satin / organza roses or scrap yarn to make knots for dots.
2.5mm hook: 24 dc x 12 rows / 3mm hook: 22 dc x 12 rows.
Mary Janes: 0-3 [3-6, 6-9, 9-12] months baby to fit approx. foot length of 9.5 [10, 10.5, 11] x 5 cm wide / 3.75 [4, 4.15, 4.33] x 2” wide.
Headband: 0-3 (3-9) months to fit approx. the head circumference of 36 (43) x 2 cm wide / 14.2 x 0.75” wide.
Flower: 4.5 cm / 1.75 inches diameter.
