This week I’ve been working on a few projects.
At Stitch ‘n Bitch Amsterdam De Pijp, we are hosting a KAL for the lovely Princess Franklin Plaid Collar. It’s such a nice plaid design that can be used for many different projects, some of the ladies have decided to make a bag, a lamp cover, and I still don’t know what to do with it, I’m still finishing my swatch with Drops Alpaca! I have some time until the deadline, which is the 5th of March. Any ideas? Please share them!
This week I’ve finished a couple of projects:
– Victorian Garden Shrug, which is a new design that I might share soon with you.
My mum asked me during Christmas to make a new shrug for her, she chose the yarn (very nice acrylic) and I came up with the design. It’s a lace pattern that reminds me of a rose garden with delicate edging inspired by Jane Austen style, it looks like crochet but is knitted; I couldn’t find anything similar so I might have invented it.
I have to check how the pattern works in other yarns and fibers, I blocked this one with steam and the result was very nice. What do you think?
– Another FO of this week has been the green baby booties; it’s an easy and simple pattern to knit in the round, that I will be publishing soon, seamless and made with aran weight yarn. This is a quick gift to make; indeed it’s a present for some friends that had a baby a couple of months ago.
If you are on Ravelry you can find my new group there. I’ll be posting about new designs, tests, promotions and more!
Thanks for stopping by, I’d love to hear your comments!
